The end of the school year is approaching so today we got to celebrate all our hard work with a trip to the ice skating rink! This trip was extra special because Ebisu, Gotanda, Kamikita, and Ogikubo PAP kids were able to join together for some winter fun.
After strapping on our ice skates, helmets and gloves we were able to get on the rink for a lesson. It was the first time skating for several students, so there was a lot of excitement in the air.
Everybody was so brave and followed the lesson instructors directions. We learned how to move across the ice and how to fall and get up safely.
They were very determined to practice so they were able to skate on their own. Many children said it was so fun and they didn’t want to leave the rink!
We worked together by holding hands, encouraging each other and pushing our friends on the ice chairs.
We are so grateful to be able to spend this day together with all of the PAP students. We hope we can go ice skating with our friends again soon!
