This month, we will be studying all about the North Pole and the South Pole for Science.
Today we started off with learning new vocabulary,
and then had a brainstorm of what we knew about polar bears.
“What do you know about polar bears?”
“They live in a cold place!”
“They are white!”
“They are big!”

Then we read through our polar bear book
to see if we were right.
Their fur is actually “see-through” instead of white, and did you know that they can weigh up to 700 kilograms?
Wow!
