We had a field trip today going to the art museum. The students enjoyed a nice morning walk from Meguro Station along the Meguro river, heading for the museum.
As we all came to the museum, we were greeted by the bilingual staff that spoke to us, mostly in English, which was very surprising.
Everyone went to look at several paintings, and the staff at the museum talk through brief details of several paintings, such as the colors, costumes, shapes, and situations that were in each painting. The students did their best to listen and to keep their voices down so they could enjoy the museum.
At the very end, the students enjoyed a fun activity of playing with blocks and games at the toy exhibit in the museum. The theme of the toy room was to build and play while creating, just like art. All of us had a terrific time at the art museum.
