Today we had a field trip to the garden. Some English Pocket students had planted seeds in the spring and now they are ready for picking!
We put on our gardening gear, gloves and rain boots. Then we got to work inspecting the garden to see which of the fruits and vegetables were ready.
Everyone worked together to pick cucumbers, eggplants, tomatoes and green beans. The cucumbers had grown really big!
Gardening vegetables takes a lot of patience but it is always worth it once you get to taste your hard work!
We even tried the cucumber and tomato during lunch. So fresh and delicious! We can’t wait to try gardening again soon. Great job everybody!
